Drilling Fluid & Completion Fluid is governed by China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) Ltd., co-sponsored by CNPC Bohai Drilling Engineering Co., Ltd. and PetroChina Huabei Oilfield Company, and conducted by the Research Institute of Engineering Technology of CNPC Bohai Drilling Engineering Co., Ltd.
It mainly publishes new scientific research and production achievements, new technologies, new progress, new experiences, new perspectives, domestic and foreign scientific news and market trends of drilling fluids, completion fluids, cementing fluids, perforating fluids, well control fluids, workover fluids, acidizing fluids, fracturing fluids and other downhole working fluids, as well as new perspectives and understandings of various disciplines in the field of downhole fluids. Columns include Drilling Fluid, Cementing Fluid, Fracturing Fluid and Acidizing Fluid, Completion Fluid, Special Topic, Dynamic and Short Message. Target Readers are researchers and technicians in the oil drilling industry.

1.1 Before submitting, please carefully read the journal's Submission Instruction, Paper Template, and Copyright Transfer Agreement.
1.2 When submitting, please provide complete information online, including the names, affiliations, email addresses, and other relevant information of all authors (as in the order of authorship). The corresponding author should be marked.
1.3 After the manuscript is accepted, an APC of RMB 200 yuan per page will be payable. After the article is published, the remuneration shall be paid, and two copies of the current issue shall be posted to the first author.
2. Format
2.1 The content of manuscripts should be innovative, orientational, and practical, with clear arguments, reliable evidence, and concise language. The wordcount should be more than 10000 Chinese characters.
2.2 Title: Title should match the content, concise and to the point, reflecting the paper’s innovation or main conclusions, avoiding vagueness, generally not exceeding 20 Chinese characters. Subtitles are not acceptable. The Chinese and English titles should be consistent.
2.3 For research results supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, or projects at provincial or ministerial level, authors should indicate the project name and approval number at the bottom of the first page of manuscripts, which will be given priority for publishing. For practical papers, if authors can provide proof that the achievements have been applied for producing with economic benefits, this journal will also give priority for publishing those papers.
2.4 Authorship: Authors should be individuals who made contribution to and are responsible for the content of the paper, generally less than 5 people. Author names should be separated with ','. If there are authors from different institutes, different numbers should be marked in the upper right corner of their names. The corresponding author is marked with an asterisk in the upper right corner. Please indicate the full name, address, and postal code of each author's affiliation, and a brief introduction of the first author must be provided in the footer of the first page, including name, title, year of birth, last education, affiliation, major, detailed mailing address, postal code, phone number, and E-mail address. The contact phone number and E-mail address of the corresponding author should also be included in the footer.
2.5 Abstract: Typically, an abstract should be composed in the third-person perspective, including four elements: objective, methodology, results, and conclusion. It must concisely encapsulate the core information and data from the paper, providing specific content without additional commentary or elucidation. The recommended wordcount is between 300 and 400 Chinese characters. Keywords should number between three and eight. It is compulsory that the English abstract and its keywords precisely mirror their Chinese counterparts.
2.6 Introduction: Try to use concise language to explain the current technological status and existing problems at home and abroad, regarding what problems your research work aims to solve, to what extent the problems have been solved, and what role your research work plays in promoting technological progress in the field. That is, answer clearly why your work is necessary and what is the significance of your work. The wordcount is generally within 500 Chinese characters. References should be selected from recently published works.
2.7 Main text: Necessary analysis and discussion should be conducted on experimental results.
2.8 Figures and Tables: Figures and tables should be concise, avoiding overlapping content with the text, but there must be textual explanations of figures and tables in main text. The use of figures and tables should be sparing and the design should be scientific, concise, and self- explanatory, so that readers could understand the content without consulting the main text. If it can be expressed clearly in brief text, figures should not be used. Figures should be placed after the first mention in the main text. It is recommended to use Origin or Excel software for diagrams so that file can be edited. For software graphics, it is required that the coordinate titles, values, lines, and legends be clear. For photo images, it is required that their resolution be above 300. Figure size: Width not exceeding 7 cm, height not exceeding 5 cm. The photo should be indicated with the magnification factor. The three-line style should be adopted for tables, with Chinese characters in Songti, and symbols, letters and numbers in New Times Roman.
2.9 Units: It is required to use national standard units in accordance with GB 3100-31021-13-1995 "Quantities and Units". Common physical quantities and unit symbols: apparent viscosity (AV/mPa·s), plastic viscosity (PV/mPa·s), dynamic shear force (YP/Pa), filtration loss (FL/mL), permeability (K/10-3μm2), meters (m), liters (L), grams (g), days (d), hours (h), minutes (min), seconds (s). Use "~" for the numerical range, and leave 1 space between the number and the unit. For example: 100~150 mL; 2~3 Pa; 7% ~ 18% (instead of 7-18%); 200×104~260×104 m3/d (instead of 200-260×104 m3/d).
2.10 References: References should be formally published papers or books, and should be literature that the author has personally read, generally not less than 15 items, published recently home and abroad. Chinese references need to have a corresponding English translation. Please refer to the Chinese website for examples of format.
